Getting to Tokyo:

From Tokyo to Narita:

The Kesei line from Nippori to Narita town (or vice versa) only costs 750 yen and takes 1hour 15 mins. Nippori is only 1 stop away from Ueno. It's 1000￥ to the airport itself.
The Keisei Skyliner takes about 50 minutes from Narita (airport) to Ueno (some also head into Shinjuku) and costs around 2500￥ each way. To Tokyo station there is the Narita Express, run by JR. It costs about 5000￥ and takes less time.

Train - Take the train towards Shiroishi 4 stops south to Tatekoshi. The fare is ￥230 (but no ticket gate at the station...) There's a bus stop just outside the train station on the east side, on the other side (west) is a Daily Yamazaki. The bus runs every 30 mins and costs 310￥. Cheaper and shorter than the Sendai direct method. They are working on extending the train line to the airport and it is scheduled to open spring/summer 2006.

Bus - The Sendai Airport shuttle bus leaves quite frequently from Sendai station. It runs every 30 - 60 mins. Fare 910￥. Walk out of the station (West exit, so you're staring at LOFT), walk over and down the stairs to the left to the bus platforms. There's a ticket window there to buy tickets.
Coming from the airport, there's a machine to buy tickets near the exit doors. Catch bus from the post marked for SENDAI Station. The bus only stops once Sendai station, possibly Nagamachi area.

Car - Sendai airport is actually in Natori. Follow the Route 4 down through Sendai and keep going south. There is a sign for the turn off to the airport. It's a left turn by a big overpass (which is under construction and goes nowhere). Follow this road straight all the way to the aiport, where the road ends. If you're just poppping in for a few minutes you can park in front of the terminal. Otherwise, there is a short-term car park right in front of the terminal that's only a few hundred yen.

Nagoya Airport

The train from the main Nagoya train station to the airport is on the Meitetsu line. It operates an express service for ￥350 more than the regular ￥850. It's easy to find as there are signs in the station with an airplane drawn on it to give you info as to which track the train is on. The train lands you in the terminal itself and all you do is come out and go through the turnstiles and you are ready to check in.
